Copper futures were trading lower in the domestic market on Monday as speculators trimmed positions to book profits amid a weak trend in global markets. Analysts said muted demand at the domestic physical markets, a weak trend overseas, led to fall in copper prices at futures trade here.
At the MCX, copper futures for November 2017 contract was trading at Rs 438.70 per kg, down by 0.05 per cent, after opening at Rs 437.9, against a previous close of Rs 438.90. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 437.30 (at 11:55 hours).
